Update from Filía Crete team

Two years ago at Filia Crete, we started with a simple vision: to bring top-quality, affordable olive oil from Crete to the Netherlands.

We’re proud to say we achieved that, even though we at times underestimated how challenging the journey would be, and how many different directions we would need to grow in.

Olive oil production, harvesting, bottling, shipping, sales, customer service, website management, deliveries, investing in new products and more. All of this is handled by just three people: the core founders.

Now that the 2026 harvest has officially come to an end, we’ve seen firsthand how much production costs have increased compared to two years ago. The rise in expenses has several causes, including climate change in Southern Crete, which has significantly increased water prices and overall production costs.

In order to continue innovating, introducing new products, and serving each of you without delays, we’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to adjust our prices.

As of March 16, the new prices will apply to all our products.

We want to assure you that this decision allows us to continue doing what we love, without compromising on quality. And even with this adjustment, our products will remain competitively priced compared to other high-end products on the market.

Gezondheid is belangrijk voor mij, maar lekker eten net zo goed. Daarom ben ik groot fan van de olijfolie van Filia Crete. Absolutely loved the quality of both the oil and honey. Very likely to repurchase. I do experience a barrier to only order one product considering that you are delivering yourself so it feels a bit too much to ask. Please continue as this is outstanding value for money!

Super nice, tasty and fast Christmas gift

I ordered a bottle of olive oil as a Christmas gift. I was a bit late, but with the super fast delivery (same day!) I was still able to give it on Christmas. My boyfriend was super happy with the present, as he really likes cooking. Yesterday we made the first dish with the oil and we loved it!
